Winchester High Capacity Gun Safes

The larger Winchester gun safes may be some of the best on the market. They have a few lower end ones, which are really value safes. They even make one for Sam’s Club for arounf $600, but they have to cut the cost by using less sturdy aterials. The ones that you can get from Amazon are the real deal. They have 30 minute or one hour fire ratings. That means that they can be in a burning building for an hour without it being a problem.

One of the best parts about the higher capacity gun safes is that their insides are adjustable. Every shelf is adjustable and can be removed. The more shelves that you remove, the more guns that the safe can hold. Unlike some other supposedly high capacity guns, these can hold all the guns it says it can without you having to worry about scratches. This is truly a remarkable feat.

Winchester eVault Personal Electronic Safes

The Winchester eVault gun safe has my favorite feature in any handgun safes. Too many gun safes are relying on electric locks. Electric locks are amazing, don’t get me wrong. You can get into the safe much faster through an electric lock, especially one o those biometric gun safes, but I digress. There are two downfalls when it comes to any electric opening. The first is that all electric products fail sooner than their manual counterparts. It is just a fact of life. The second is that most electric safes, including the eVault, beep when they are opening. This is not so good if you want to be stealthy about reaching for your gun. So the eVault can be opened electronically with their combination lock or it can be opened with a key.

One thing I like about the eVault is the interior light. It is not super bright. It is maybe as bright as a night light, but it is a deep safe, so seeing inside is good. It helps when it comes to changing the batteries; it is a plus. Also, many other companies simply don’t offer this feature.

Many of the eVault electronic safes have gotten bad gun safe reviews on Amazon. Oddly enough, most of the bad reviews are from people who say they didn’t get them from Amazon. It makes you wonder if someone is selling cheap knock offs. The reviews state that the electronics cease to work after time. Certainly, this is disconcerting. But what makes me think these might be reviews of cheap knock offs sold else where was one review in particular. He said it took him ten seconds to break into his safe. That is simply unbelievable considering the heavy duty metal that is used in Winchester safes and the high reviews that they receive. So, by all means, check out those reviews, but read them with a grain of salt.
